. RESOI,UTION NQ. 1939
BE I'� RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : I
A. Those certain Banks and Savings and Loan Associations , per I
or more
Exhibit "A" attached, are hereby designated as one/of the depositories i
for funds belonging or under the control of the City of Renton , a I
municipal corporation , under the laws and statutes of the State af
Washington. The City� duly appointed, acting and qualifi.ed Director
of Finance , to-wit : Mrs . Gwen Marshall, is hereby auth�*ized and
directed to open and maintain one or more accounts at said named deposit-
ories on behalf of and in the name of the Ci.ty of Renton.
B. The above mentioned depositories be and they are hereby
fuxther authorized to honor and pay checks , drafts and similar i.nstruments
in the name of the City of Renton and signed by any t�o ( 2) of the _
following officials of the City of Renton :

Mayor Avery Garrett
Accounting and Investment William E . Bennett
Supervisor
and whether said checks , drafts or other instruments be made payable
to the City of Renton, or others , and whether such checks , drafts or
. same
other instruments or the proceeds of/are used for municipal or s�milar
public purposes .
C. There shall be no obligation on the part of the above
depositories to see to the applicati,on of funds in any case whatsoever
and that a true copy of this resolution be certzfied and delivered to
each said depository at the time any such account is opened on behalf
of the City of Renton.

D. That any of the officers or officials of the City of
Renton above named are further authorized to endorse any such checks ,
drafts or other instruments made payable to the City of Renton for I
purpose of depositing same into any account in the name of the City
of Renton, a municipal corporation.
E. Resolution #1811 heretofore passed and approved on August
14, 1972 is hereby ,repealed.
