is. of paramount i,nterest and benefit to th.e Ci.ty of Renton and
th.e surrounding communities, and
WHERE.AS it i.s absolutely essential that proper funding be

provided for the benefit of our c�t�.zens �n order t p
an effi.cient and up to date local transi.t system, NOGT THEREFORE
BE TT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CI.TY COUNCIL OF THE CI:TY OF
RENTON , �nIASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTTON T: The City of Renton hereby urges the State of
TnTashington Legislature and the Governor of the State of Washington
to take all reasonable , immediate and appropriate steps to provide
for the neces,sary funding, cons.isting of th.e necessary matching funds
of the Metro Transit System.
