HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1803 . � A` . ,. ..� � • -�� �+. • .. ; .� ' r RESOLUTION N0. _1�3 h . :w WHEREAS a Petition �as been f31ed with the City C1sz�c �of the City of Renton on mr about June 20 ,19'�titioning for fihe vacation of a portion of a certain street as hereinafter more particuiarly described and said Petition having been signed by the owners of more than two-thirds of the property owners abutting upon the portzon of said street sought to be vacated, same being described as follows: That portion of Burnett Ave. South lying between Blocks 1 and 2 of Walsworth ' s First Addition, as recorded in records of Kin� County in Volume 6 of Plats pa e 23 , EXCEPT that portion of 7t Street Extensi n. to_Gr�dv Way_, and_ also EXC�PT, �he r_i�ht_ of:wav of_Gradv Wa_y�__ _ _. That portion of 8th St. (S: 8th St.) abutting Lots 12 and 13� B1. ,2 and. Lot 12,_ Block_I.,___ + of�said Walsworth First Addition;-EXCEPT that portion of the Burnett Street Extension (SR 515) ; all situated in Renton, King County , Washington , NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY T�IE MAYOR AT1D THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, b°IASHINGTOTT, AS FOLLOf�1S : SECTION I : That the �21 st day of Aug . , 1972 at the hour of 8 p,M.at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, Renton , Washington, be and is hereby fixed as the time and place when the aforesaid Petition for vacating the aforesaid portion of street shall be heard and determined. SECTION II : The City Clerlc is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by law, and any and all persons interested therein or objectin� to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon , or they may file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk prior to or at the tir�e of the hearing on said vacation. The City Council shall determine , at or prior to any such public hearing , as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as provided for in Ordinance A1o. 234g and the City may likewise retain an easement far public utility and related purposes.
