HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4735 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON � ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 3 5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM CC (CONVEI�TIENCE COMMERCIAL) TO RM-I (RESIDENTIAL MULTI-FAMILY INFILL) (POTOSHNICK/NEWTON; - FILE NO. LUA 98-040). , WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations), of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinanees of the City of Renton," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property _ hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as CC (Convenience Commercial); and WHEREAS, the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change of zone classification of said property. This matter was duly referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study, and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about June 10, 1998, and said matter having been duly considered by the Planning Commission, and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended by Ordinance No. 4734, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, I WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 'I SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to RM-I (Residential Multi-Family Infill), as hereinbelow specified. The Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to-wit: 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 3 5 See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. , (4 parcels consisting of 2.25 acres, .06 acre, .25 acre and .29 acre are bordered by N.E. I Park Drive at the access to I-405, Sunset Boulevard, N.E. and Aberdeen Avenue, N.E. SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and five days after its publication.
