HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4749 Amended By ORD 4839, 5100 CITY OF RENTON WASHINGTON I � ORDINANCE NO. 47 4 9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WA5HINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 4.3.040 OF CHAPTER 3, ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS AND SPECIAL DISTRICTS, OF TITLE IV (DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS), OF ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ' ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY EXPANDING AREAS A AND B AND CHANGING ALLOWED USES FOR DEALERSHIPS LOCATED WITHIN THE AUTO MALL IlVIPROVEMENT DISTRICT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN I� AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Section 4.3.040 of Chapter 3, Environmental Regulations and Special Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations), of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of I General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows. 4.3.040: AUTO MALL IlVIPROVEMENT DISTRICT: A. PURPOSE: These regulations are intended to help create a regional auto mall that has a cohesive appearance for improved retail activity. B. APPLICABILITY: 1. Auto Mall Area A: That area bounded by Grady Way S on the north, , Rainier Avenue S (SR-167) on the east, I-405 on the south and Ra ond Avenue S. on the west. I � Ym 2. Auto Mall Area B: That area along the south side of SW Grady Way west of Raymond Avenue S. between SW Grady Way on the north, Raymond.Avenue S. on the east, a north south line approximately 400' east of Raymond Avenue SW on the west, and SW Grady Way on the north; 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 4 9 That area along the north side of SW Grady Way west of Lind Avenue S. bounded by SW Grady Way on the south, Powell Avenue SW on the west, SW lOth Street on the north, and Lind Avenue SW on the east; That area along the north side of SW Grady Way between Lind Avenue to the west and Rainier Avenue S. on the east. Beginning at a point appro�mately 400 feet north of I SW Grady Way along the east side of Lind Avenue SW on the west, then east for a distance of appro�mately 325 feet, then south to a point appro�mately 180 feet north of SW Crrady Way, than east from this point parallel to SW Grady Way to a point appro�mately 90 feet west of Rainier Avenue S., then north from this point appro�mately 60 feet, then west approximately 50 feet, and then north approximately 215 feet and then east approximately 160 feet to Rainier Avenue S. on the east; That area north of South 7th Street and west of Hardie Avenue generally described as the area beginning at the northwest corner of South 7th Street and Hardie Avenue S. and then proceeding west approximately 425 feet, then north approximately 450 feet to the southern edge of the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way, then east along the railroad ROW appro�mately 235 feet to Hardie Avenue and then south along Hardie Avenue to the beginning point; That area north of South 7th Street between Hardie Avenue on the west, the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way on the north, and Rainier Avenue on the east; That area north of South 7th Street between Rainier Avenue S. on the west, a line approximately 190 feet north of and parallel to South 7th Street on the north, and Shattuck Avenue S. on the east; 2 ORDINANCE NO. 47 4 9 The triangular area on the south side of South 7th Street between Hardie Avenue on the west and Rainier Avenue on the east; The larger area north of S. Grady Way between Shattuck Avenue S. on the west, the northern edge of the former railroad right-of-way approximately 150 feet north of S. Grady Way, and Talbot Road/Smithers Avenue S. on the east; That area along the south side of S. Grady Way between SR-167/Rainier Avenue S. on the west and a north/south line appro�mately 1630 feet east of SR-167 on the east, S. Grady Way on the north, and on the south west along S. Renton Village Place appro�mately 175 feet to the 1998 zoning boundary between the CA Zone and the CO Zone on the south; and, That area along the south side of S.
