HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4754 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 5 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING THE PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 1999 FOR BOTH GENERAL PURPOSES AND FOR VOT�R APPROVED BOND ISSUES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, has met and considered its budget for calendar year 1999; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton, in the course of considering the budget for 1999, has reviewed all sources of revenue and examined all anticipated expenses and obligations; and WHEREAS, the City of Rentdn has been informed that new construction value is at least $187 million for 1999 tax levy purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAlN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The regular t� levy for the City of Renton shall be $13,699,036 which is a levy increase of zero for the basis for calculation. SECTION II. In addition, the City of Renton expects to receive $664,625 in property taxes from new construction; $36,736 from omitted assessments; and $87,704 from refund levy amounts. SECTION III. The total tax collections for the regular 1999 tax levy is expected to I be $14,488,101. ' SECTION IV. The City shall also levy the following amounts for the Voter Approved Bonds: Fund 213 Coulon Park $800,000 Fund 219 Senior Housing $540,000 . 1 � ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 5 4 SECTION V.
