ORDINANCE NO. 5772
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING AN ALLEY
ADJOINING 555 SW GRADY WAY BETWEEN SENECA AVENUE SW AND LIND
AVENUE SW (DALE WALKER OF D&C INVESTMENTS, LLC, PETITIONER; VAC 15-
002).
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or
about May 6, 2015, pursuant to the requirements of RCW 35.79, petitioning for the vacation of
an alley adjoining 555 SW Grady Way between Seneca Avenue SW and Lind Avenue SW, as
' hereinafter more particularly described, and the petition was signed by the owners of more
than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon the street sought to be vacated; and '
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 4258, passed on July 13, 2015, set August
3, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton as the time and place
for a public hearing on this matter; and the City Clerk gave proper notice of this hearing as
provided by law, and all persons were heard who appeared to testify in favor or in opposition
on this matter, and the City Council considered all information and arguments presented to it;
and
WHEREAS, the Administrator of the Department of Community and Economic
Development has considered this petition for vacation, and has found it to be in the public
interest and for the public benefit, and that no injury or damage to any person or properties
will result from this vacation; and

WHEREAS, the City Council adopts the recommendation of the Department of
Community and Economic Development to waive all fees pursuant to RMC 9-10-14.B for the
street vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The following described alley, adjoining 555 SW Grady Way between
Seneca Avenue SW and Lind Avenue SW, to wit:
[See Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth herein.]
is hereby vacated.
SECTION II. Pursuant to RMC 9-14-10.B, all fees have been waived for this right of
way vacation.
SECTION 111. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and five (5)
days after publication.
A certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the King County Recorder's Office,
and as otherwise provided by law.
