CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 4676
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AbiENDING
CHAPTER 3, HARBOR REGULATIONS, OF TITLE IX (PUBLIC WAYS
AND PROPERTY) , OF ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF
GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY
DECRIMINALIZING CERTAIN HARBOR REGULATIONS AND ADOPTING
BY REFERENCE STATE LAW CRIMES RELATING TO REGULATION OF
RECREATIONAL VESSELS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. Chapter 3, Harbor Regulations, of Title IX
(Public Ways and Property) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code
of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby
amended by adding the following sections which read as follows :
9-3-60: Decriminalization of Harbor Regulations: Violation
of any section of this chapter, except those designated as
misdemeanors or gross misdemeanors in section 9-3-62, and except
as provided in RCW 88 . 12 . 015, shall constitute a civil infraction
punishable in accordance with RCW 7 . 84 . 100 .
9-3-61: Definitions and Penalties : Adoption by Reference : RCW
7 . 84 . 100, RCW 88 . 12 . 010 and RCW 88 . 12 . 015 as now or hereafter

amended, and all other statutes adopted by reference therein, are
hereby adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein. �

� 7 . 84 . 130, RCW 88 . 12 . 025, RCW 88 . 12 . 035, RCW 88 . 12 . 075, RCW
88 . 12 . 115, RCW 88 . 12 . 125, RCW 88 . 12 . 135 and RCW 88 . 12 . 145, as now
or hereafter amended, and all other statutes adopted by reference
therein, are hereby adopted by reference as if fully set forth
herein.

Violation of any of the foregoing statutes shall ��
constitute a misdemeanor punishable in accordance with RCW
9 . 92 . 030, except that violation of RCW 88 . 12 . 035 shall constitute
a gross misdemeanor punishable in accordance with RCW 9 . 92 . 020 .
SECTION II . Section 9-3-2, Definitions, of Title IX
(Public Ways and Property) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code
of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby
amended by deleting the following definitions :
VESSEL, WATERCRAFT, and WATER SKI .
SECTION III. Chapter 3, Harbor Regulations, of Title IX
(Public Ways and Property) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code
of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby
amended by repealing sections 9-3-6, 9-3-13 .A and 9-3-54 . I
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and thirty days after publication.
