ORDINANCE N0. 4675
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTIONS 6-1-1 AND 6-1-2 OF CHAPTER 1, ABANDONED
VEHICLES, OF TITLE VI (POLICE REGULATIONS) , OF ORDINANCE
NO. 4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF TIiE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" RELATING TO ABANDONED
VEHICLES BY ADOPTING THE STATE LAW DEFINITIONS BY
REFERENCE AND REMOVING THE PENALTY SECTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. Section 6-1-1 of Chapter 1, Abandoned
Vehicles, of Title VI (Police Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260
entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,
Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows :
6-1-1:� DEFINITIONS : RCW 46 . 55 . 010 is hereby adopted by
reference, as now or hereafter amended, and all other statutes
adopted by reference therein as if fully set forth herein. The
definitions contained in RCW 46 . 55 . 010 shall apply to the
interpretation and enforcement of this chapter.
SECTION II. Section 6-1-2 .A of Chapter 1, Abandoned
Vehicles, of Title VI (Police Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260
entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,
Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows :
6-1-2 .A: The storage or retention of abandoned, wrecked, I
dismantled or inoperative vehicles or vehicle hulks on private
property in the City is hereby declared to be a public nuisance
and shall be removed in accordance with this chapter. ' '
SECTION III . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and thirty (30) days after publication.
