WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of the alley �

located between S .W. 12th Street and S .W. Grady Way West of Rainier g

Avenue was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about May 30, 1995, '
and said petition having been signed by the owners representing more ,,.,

than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon such street
sought to be vacated; and
� WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 3153 passed and

� approved on October 23 , 1995 , and after due investigation did fix

!� and determine the day of November 20, 1995, at the hour of 7 : 30 p.m.

� in the �City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time

given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and
all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition
thereto, and the City Council having considered all information and

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Renton having
duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having found

injury or damage to any person or properties will result from such
vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The following described street, to wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as
if fully set forth herein
be and the same is hereby vacated subject to an easement over,
' across, under, and on all of the aforedescribed property in favor of
the City for utility and related purposes .
SECTION II . The City Council hereby elects to waive all fees
� and costs of compensation required under current City Code for the
�
�
0 filing, processing, appraisal, and transfer of property usually paid
� by the petitioner.
�
� SECTION III . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and thirty days after its publication.
� A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
I Office of Records and Elections, and as otherwise provided by law.

That portion of the alley between SW Grady Way and SW 12th Street running westerly,
158.12 feet, more or less, from its intersection with the west Right of Way margin of Rainier
Avenue S to its intersection with a line running from the southwest corner of Lot 7 to the
Northwest corner of Lot S0,Block 16 of C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Addition to the
City of Seattle Division No. 1 according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 17 of Plats,
