ORDINANCE N0. 4591
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM P-1 (PUBLIC USE) TO RC (RESOURCE
CONSERVATION) (FORMER NARCO SITE; FILE NO. LUA-95-126, R) .
WHEREAS, under Chapter 7, Title IV (Building Regulations) , of
Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton, " as amended, and maps and reports adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as P-1 (Public Use) ; and
WIiEREAS, the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change
of zone classification of said property. This matter was duly
referred to the Hearing Examiner for investigation, study, and
public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or
about February 13 , 1996, and said matter having been duly considered
by the Hearing Examiner, and said zoning request having been I'�
recommended, and said zoning request being in conformity with the
City' s Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having
duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having
been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, �
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION I. The following described property in the City of I
Renton is hereby rezoned to RC (Resource Conservation) as
hereinbelow specified, subject to the findings, conclusions, and
decision of the Hearing Examiner dated February 26, 1996; the
Development. Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to
change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence
said rezoning, to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as
if fully set forth herein.
(Said property, approximately 44 . 64 acres, is located at
1500 Houser Way North)
SECTION II . This ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and five (5) days after publication.

RESOURCE CONSERVATION(RC)
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Those portions of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and of Government Lot 6, all in
Section 17,Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., lying southerly of the bottom of slope line, said
bottom of slope line also being the line between the P-1 and R-C Zoning as indicated by the City of
Renton Zoning Book,Page 5317,dated February, 1995;
Except that portion described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 17;
Thence northerly along the west line thereof,a distance of 500 feet;
Thence southeasterly along a line to a point on the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section
17, which point lies 1200 feet, east of, as measured along the South Iine of said Section, from the
Southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter;
Thence westerly along the south line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 17, a distance of 1200
feet,to the southwest comer thereof and the point of beginning;
Situate in the Cit of Renton Coun of Kin State of Washin on.
