SECTION 10-12-1 OF CHAPTER 12, '�RAF�IC CODE, OF T7[x'LE X

THE WASHT�GTON MOpEL TRAFFIC OKDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the State Legislatur� has provided that Ch. 46 . 90 RCW,
which contained the Washington Model Traffic Ordinance (MTO) , will
expire on July 1, 1994; and
WdiEREAS, the provisions of the Washington MTO have been
readopted in the Washington Admiriistrative Code (WAC) in Ch. 308-
330, which will become effective on July 1, 1994;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE C�TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REATTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 10-12-1 of Chapter 12., Traffic. Code.,. of
Ti:tle X` (Tra-ffic) , of Ordinance No.- 4260, enti.tled "Cod-e �of� G�eneral i
Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington, " is hereby amended to �
read as follows :
10-12-1: ADOPTION BY REFERENCE. The "Washington Model Traffic
Ordinance, (MTO) " , Ch. 308-330 WAC, as now or hereafter amended, and
all other statutes adopted by reference therein is hereby adopted by
ref erence: li
SECTION II. SAVINGS CLAUSE. The amendment to section i0-12-
' 1 does not affect any pending or existing litigation and does not
operate as an abatement or bar to any action or proceeding pending
under or by virtue of the repealed ordinance.
SECTION III. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any provision of this '
or�iinance or its application to any person or circumstance is held

invalid, the remainder of the ordinarice, or the application of the
provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
July 1, 1994 .
