RESOLUTION NO. 4266
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, SETTIN6 A HEARING
DATE TO VACATE A PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE VICINITY OF 300
RAINIER AVENUE NORTH (VAC 15-003).
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about
September 18, 2015, pursuant to the requirements of RCW 35.79, petitioning for the vacation
of a portion of right-of-way in the vicinity of 300 Rainier Avenue North, as hereinafter more
particularly described, and the petition was signed by the owners of more than two-thirds (2/3)
of the property abutting upon the street sought to be vacated, and same being described as
follows:
See Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein:
[A portion of right-of-way in the vicinity of 300 Rainier Avenue North].
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the 16th day of November, 2015, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. at the City
Council Chambers at City Hall, Renton, King County, Washington, is hereby fixed as the time and
place for a public hearing to consider the above-mentioned petition for vacating a portion of
right-of-way in the vicinity of 300 Rainier Avenue North, which hearing date is not more than
sixty (60) nor less than twenty (20) days from the date of passage of this resolution.
SECTION 11. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of the time
and date of this hearing as provided by RCW 35.79.020 and any and/or all persons interested

therein or objecting to this vacation may then appear and be heard, or they may file their
written objections with the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on the vacation.
SECTION III. The City Council has previously obtained an appraisal to determine the
fair market value of the airport property and that appraisal should be used to value the
property sought to be vacated as it is to be utilized as part of the Renton Aerospace Training
Center, and henceforth be part of the airport properties.
The City likewise reserves the right to retain an easement for public utility and related
purposes.
