ORDINANCE NO. 4322 �
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 5-1-1, OF CHAPTER 1, FEE 8CHEDIILE, OF TITLE V
(FINANCE AND BIISINESS REGIILATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 4260
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, WASHINGTON" HY ADOPTING A NEW FEE SCBEDULE.
- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS: �
SECTION I. Section 5-1-1 of Chapter 1, Fee Schedule, of
Title V (Finance and Business Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260
entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,
Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows:
5-1-1: FEE SCHEDULE ADOPTED: There is hereby adopted as the Fee
Schedule for the City, Title IV (Building Regulations) and
Title IX (Public Ways and Property) the following: �

3 . Pre-Design and/or Pre-Application 1 meeting free,

hour.
4. For joint land use applications, applicants shall pay full fee
for the most expensive application and all costs as extra fees
thereafter..
5. Extra Fees. Whenever any application is to be handled under the
terms of any portion of the City's adopted land use codes, and
that application is so large, complicated, or technically
complex that it cannot be handled within the basic (average)
time as stated below, then an additional hourly fee can be
charged to pay any and all costs incurred by the City in order
to accomplish land use review and processing. Any and all non-
labor costs will also be borne by the applicant. A set-aside
account or other acceptable security shall be established by
the applicant to provide security for such payment of fees. .
6. Fees charged per the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing
Code, Uniform Mechanical Code and related separate codes shall
be available for enforcement of those regulations, and are
separate from the provisions in this ordinance.
7. Average Time. The following number of hours will be allowed
per application before "extra fees" are applied at $75.00 per
hour:

8. Refunds. 80% of the applicable fee will be refunded if the
application is withdrawn prior to circulation by the Planning
Staff. After circulation (and review has begun) no refund, of
base fees will be authorized. ,
