R � �� -, • � � i Amends Ordinance No. 3011; ,37�7�-, I - - ' ' 3842, 4127, `:` ��: Amended by Ordinance No. 4298� �r��o� 5113 j CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ' ORDINANCE N0. �257 AN ORDI1dANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING CHAPTER l, BLTSINESS LICEN5ES, OF TITLE V (BUSINESS REGULATIONS) , OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY � DELETING PORTIONS OF SECTION 5-104; ADDING ANOTHER , SUBSECTION TO SECTION 5-801 CONCERNING THE GAMBLING TAR PENALTY; ADDING ANOTHER FEE TO SECTION 5-4102(H) CONCERNING POLICE FALSE ALARM VIOLATION C�iARGES; ADDING A SUBSECTION TO SECTION 5-4102 REGARDING CHARGES FOR COMPUTER LISTINGS; AND AMENDING SECTION 6-2204 INCREA5ING ' THE COST FOR POLICE FALSE ALARM VIOLATIONS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Section 5-104{A) through 5-104(E)9 of Chapter 1, Business Licenses, of Title V (Business Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby deleted. SECTION II. Section 5-801 of Chapter 8, Entertainment Device Tax, of Title v (Business Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of Gensral Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection: Section 5-801(F) : Tax Payment; When Due, Penalty: 1 . The tax imposed by this chapter shall be due and payable in quarterly installments and remittance therefor shall accompany each return made on or before the 30th day of the month next succeeding the quarterly period in which the tax accrued. 2 . There shall be added a penalty, for each payment due, if such payment is not made by the due date thereof, as follows : (a) . A ten percent ( 10�) penalty, with a minimum of two dollars ( $2 . 00) for the first seventeen ( 17) days of delinquency. 1 ---_ _ 1 , . . ' . . � ., ,�� � ' � . . � � ORDINANCE NO. 4257 (b) . A fifteen percent ( 15�) penalty, with a minimum of four dollars ($4 . 00) for a delinquency greater than seventeen ( 17 ) days but less than forty (40) days . ' (c) . Any delinquency of forty (40) days or more shall be deemed a violation of this section. SECTION III . Section 5-4102 (H) of Chapter 41, Fee Schedule, of Title V (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding the following charge to the list of miscellaneous police services : Police false alarm violations - $25 . 00 . SECTION IV. Section 5-4102 of Chapter 41, Fee Schedule, of Title V (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection: Section 5-4102 (J) : Computer Listings : I City of Renton new business list $ 5 . 00 List of all business licenses $10 . 00 . SECTION V. Section 6-2204 of Chapter 22, Privately Owned Burglar and/or Robbery Alarm Systems, of Title VI (Police Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General , Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended to ! read as follows : Section 6-2204: False Alarm; Charges by City, Removal by Police Department: In the event of any response by the Police Department to any such false alarm, the City may levy and collect a I minimum charge of twenty-five dollars ( $25 . 00) , and any such charge 2 I i . . • �, � � '! • I� • 1 ",. . ' ORDINANCE NO. 4257 shall be paid within thirty (30) days by the owner or operator of the premises . The Police Department reserves the right to have any intrusion/robbery alarm system installed through the Police Department removed or disconnected in case of non-payment of any false alarm charge, or to cause the removal or disconnection thereof in case of an excessive number of false alarms, or after notice from the Police Department that such alarm system appears to be or is � defective.
