A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUTHOR- I
JOINT
IZING KING COUNTY TQ PREPARE AjPLAN FOR THE C�TY' S SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT FOR INCLUSION IN THE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLANi BASED
ON JOZNT COUNTY-CITY PARTICIPATION THEREIN.
WHEREAS , the Legislature of the State of G3ashington has authorized
certain grants a.nd allowances to be extended to assist in development
of solid waste management sites and procedures in the State of
Washington, and '
WHEREAS , Cities may make applicatian far s�ate financial
assistance aceordingly in �hree manners ;. namely, {a� an a city plan,
Cb) on a joint plan with the County in which it is located, Cc) or
authorize the County ta prepare a plan for the city' s solid waste
management for inclusian in a comprehensive county plan, and
WHEREAS, it is the d�sire of the City of Ren�on, King Caunty ,
Washington, to enter into an agreement with King County pursuant to
c�hich the city shall par-�icipate in preparing a jaint city-county
plan for solid waste management , as authorized by the legislature
and on applicatian therefar, and
WHEREAS it is the requirement that a resolution be submitted
to effect the purposes above set forth.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, QF THE CITY
4F R£NTON, KING C4UNTY, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
"That the City Council of the City of Renton, King County ,
Washington, on behalf of said City hereby agrees to participate
in the planning process sa that a regional salid waste
management plan might be prepared'� , and
BE TT FURTHER RESQLVED
"That the terms of participation, including any co�ts to the

at the onset of such a planning program'r .
