WHEREAS the City of Renton has been a member, for
many years past of the Statewide City Employees Retirement System,
and
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable and necessary to pro-
vide for appropriate amendments to the ex�sting state statu�e per-
taining to such retirement system in order to giv� i�s members
adequate benefits comparable to other systems , NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The City of Renton hereby expresses its
full support for the amendments to RCW 41. 44. 040 et seq as more
particularly proposed in that certain letter dated September 15 ,
1970 by the Statewide City Employees Retirement System to the Public
Pension Commission, Olympia, Washington, and the proposed amendments
contained therein are hereby incorporated in this reso7.ution as if
fu].ly set forth.
