A RESOLUTION OF TF�E CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON TO
PURCtiASE A PARCEL OF RF;AL PROPERTY LOCATED Iiv THE
HIGHLAND DISTRICT IN RENTON FOR PARK AND RECREATIONAL
PURPOSES .
wHEREAS the City of Renton is now in the process of continuing
the development of its parks and recreational facilities, and
WHEREAS it is deemed in the best interest of the public to
acquire additional properties in the City of Renton for future
development and to retain and preserve open spaces for the benefit
and enjoyment of the general puL-lic as park and recreational facilities;
and,
wxE�EAs the Board of County Commissioners of King County
Hospital District No. 1 have offered for sale to the City of Renton,
the following described real property locate3 in King County,
Washington:
Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 , and 10 of Block 1;
all of Block 6; Lots 1 and 10 of Block 7, all
in Rainier Acres, according to the plats
recorded in Vol. 14 of Plats, page 21, Records
of King County, Washington.
NOW, T�iEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and the City
Council of the City of Renton, Washinqton, as follows:
SECTION I : The above recitals and findings are hereby found
to be true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II: The NZayor and Jerome L. Hillis of Hodge & Fiillis,
Acting City Attorneys, are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
for the purchase of the above-described lands owned by the King County
Hospital District No. l, at a cash price not to exceed $400 ,000 .00,
subject among others, to the following conditions:
(a) Conveyanc� to be made by statutory warranty
deed free and clear of all encumbrances unless
exgressly waived by the City in writing and seller
to furnish a policy of title insurance in the amount
of the purchase price showing good merchantable title.

(b) Seller to furnish the City prior to closinq an
up to date survey of the suk�ject property, seller to
pay all real estate taxes and assessments for the year
of closing .
(c) S�ller to remove at its cost and expense all
improvements, debris and obstructions within or
adjoining to the subject property unless waived by
the City in writing .
This is passed by the City Council on this o2�.� day of
