A�T �. r�f -� .� r � �- . . . � a w a a ' . � . �. � • RESOLUTION NO. �U�GI , A RESOLUTZOI3 of the City of Renton, Washington, I retaining counsel for certain services in con- nection with the issuance and sale of $450,000 of general obligation bonds of the city. WHEREAS, the City of Renton, Washington, is contemplating the issuance and sale of its unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds in the principal sum of $450,000 for the purpose of constructing and equip- ping a new library building on Iand owned by the city; and WHEIZEAS, the�Constitution and laws of the State of Washington require that the question of whether or not such bonds may be issued and soZd for such purposes must be submitted to the qualified electors of the district for their ratification or rejection; and WHEitEAs, it is deemed necessary and to the best interests of the distr�ct that bond counsel skilled in such matters bP xetained to draw the resolutions, notices, and other documents necessary for the authorization, issuance and sale of said bonds, and to give their apinion as to the validity thereof at the time of their sale; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, as follows: That Preston, Thorgrimson & Horowitz, atto�neys at law of Seattle, Washington, be and they are hereby retained to perform the services above set forth, and as compensation therefor the city agrees ; to pay them the sum of Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($850} , and in ad- � dition thereto, further agrees to reimburse said attorneys for any �� out-of-pocket expenses which they may incur in the performance of said � services. ' , In consideration of the city's paying said counsel the sum of Two Hundred Do].lars ($200) for legal services previously rendered the � city as provided in ResoZution No. I028 of the City Cauncil, passed and � E approved January 5, 1960, bond counsel hereby agree that they wi3�1 not 1 �y i ' �,� � � � w • � � � <. . (, . . make any charges for services rendered the city in the matter of the authorization of the above-mentioned bonds in the event the proposi�ion therefor fails to carry. In addition to the above, the city also agrees to furnish said counsel at their office in Seattle, Washington, with a complete, certi- fied transcript of all proceedings taken in the matter of the issuance o� said $450,000 of bonds. PASSED by the Council of the City of Renton, Washington, and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of said Council held this 13th day of September, 1960.
