RE�OLUTION IJO. 1066
WI�F�A,S the CITY OF RENTOI� had heretofore acquired from the I�Zaple-
waod Improvement Association, Inc. certain properties for park and recreational.
purposes, located in the Nlaplewood area, wh,ich properties are located under
and are subject to a certain transmission line easement, corrunonly kno-�n as
the �efense F1ant Right of ir7ay and
ti��S the CITYtS Fark I3epartment has been negotiating for an ex-
change of portions of said park property for adjoining parcels of property,
of approximately equal size but located outside the Defense Plant ftight of
�Jay and its restrictions, which exchange of properties is more particularly
described in that certain +tRelease and Waiver�� by the Naplewood Improvem.ent
Association dated �eptember 20, 1960 and the attached Deeds, all of said
� documents being incorporated in this Resolution and made a part thereof, and
_ WHEREA� said exchange of properties is deemed proper and advantageous
to the CITY and of public benefit: NOW T + i RE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY �OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
� RENTON AS FOI,�i�:
5"ECTION T: The above r.ecital and findings are hereby found to be
correct in a1I respects. The City Council and the �ark Board of the CITY OF
RENTON have d.uly considered and examined said exchange of properties, all as
more particuZar],y appears on the exhibits attached hereto and that certain
sketch which is likewise made a paxt of this Resolution and find and deterznine
such exchange to be in the public interest and for the public benefit.
�CTION II: The I�Taynr and the City Clerk of the CTTY OF RENTON are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached Deeds and to take all
necessary actions to effectua.te the exchange of said properties. The City
Clerk is authorized and cli.rected to place said Deeds on record with the King
�ounty Auditorts office upon the clos�ng of saa.d transactions.
