LIl�CCTED ACCESS HIGHWAY ,
WHEREAS a proposed plan of a.ccess contro7. has been prepaxed 3n accos�d.arxce
with the 3nstructions of �the Washington �tate Highway Commission for a portion
of Primary State Highway No. 5, Sou.th 228th St. in K�nt to Renton; and
WHEREAS a por�ion of the proposed highway improvement lies w3.thin the City of
Ren�on; ana.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 235, Sessian Laws o� Z957, the
proposed plan of access was presented at a publ�.c heaxin.g held in the City of
Renton on D�cember / f- 196Q, for an expression on the desirability of the plan;
an,d.
.WHEI�tEAS there appeared to be no lacal. opposition to the portion through City
of Renton, ei�her from City officials or other persons in attendance; and
WHEREAS there being no modi�'3.eation to the poxtion through City of Ren-�on
proposed a� the public hea.ring; and -
'WHEREAS time is of the essence for the acquisition of rights of way and sub- I
sequent construction of tne highway of whach this is a part;
NQW TFPREFt}RE BE TT RFSOLVED; in accordance wi-Gh the provisions of RCW �7.5�.020
et seq., that the City of Renton, acting through its officers and authori-ties, does
hereby consent to the es�ablashm�nt of limited access on �he foZlowing described
portion of Primary S�ate Highway No. 5 within the corporate limits of the C3.ty of
Renton:
Be�tween Highwa� Engineerts Station 1055+�5 on the south corporate 13.mits of
the City of Ren�ton on the south line o� �he Northwest Quarter, Northeast
Quar�er, Section 31, Township 23 Narth, Range 5 East, W.M. and Aighway
�.'ngineer�s Station 982+q� in the vicinity of So. 156th Street in Section 19,
Townsh3.p 23 Nor�n, Ran�e 5 East, W.M.
in accordance with the p1an. entitled 'tPrimary State Highway 1Vo. 5, South 228th St.
in Kent -to Renton," sheets 6, 7 & $ of 1�+ sheets, approved by the Da.rector of
Highways on November 22, 19bo, a print of which plan is hereto attached and made
a part of this resolution; and
BE �T FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of �his resolution shall be transmitted
to the Wash3ngton. State Highway Comm3ssion at Olympia, Washir.��tc�n.
