WHEREAS the CIfiY OF RENTON has been a member of the STATII�TIDE CITY
EMPLOYEES RETIRIIKENT SYSTE�1 for many years past including the CITYtS miscellane-.
ous as well as uni.formed personnel, and
WHEREAS the benef its provided certa in pol ice of f icers herein mention-
ed of the CITY OF RENTON, pursuant to R.C.W. 41.44, prior to its amendment under
Chapter 227, Iaws of 1961, were inadeqnate and insufficient, and
WHERFAS said police officers have served continuously since their
compulsory retiremeat age under the previous act, prior to said affiendment as
above mentioned, and
W�IERFAS it is in the best interest of the CITY OF RENTON to pravide
coatinuity of service £or retirement : o� said officers, including the avazlability
oE benef its to said off icers under the terms of Chapter 227, I,aws of 1961, NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT Rr�,SOLVID BY THE MAYOP. AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLL(xaS:
SECTION I: The City Council of the CITY OF RENTON hereby unanunously
f inds and determines that the f oregoing recitals are true and correcfi in all
respects.
SECTION II: Each of the f ollowing mentioned o�£icers, in order to
provide continuity of service �or retirement under the present Act, shall usake
retroactive contributions unto July 1, 1961, in one lunp sum paynent, to-�:it:
No. 1191, WALTER J. KERR $881.68
No. 1203, JAMES R. CHADWICK 112.77
No. 1206, ANKER ANDERSON 234.36
No. 1207, FRED L. ALLINGHAM 251.10
and the CITY OF RENTON'S matching amount shall be pa id �rom released matching
funds available to the CITY OF RENTON.
SECTION III: It is further provided and the CITY hereby acknawledges
the additional prior service obligation for each of the afore�mentioned officers
as follows:
