AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 8-704 OF TITLE VIII (HEALTH AND SANITATION) OF
ORt}INANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES
�F THE CITY OF RENTON" REI.ATING TO BUILDING SEWER PERMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE NlAYOR AND THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS i
, FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 8-704 of Title VIII (flealth and Sanitation) of
Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" is
hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 8-:704 AS AMENDED: BUII,DING SE6JER PERMITS: No unauthorized person
shall uncover, mak.e any connections with or opening into, use, alter, or disturb
any public sewer or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a written permit
from the Superintendent of Utilities or his duly authorized representative. There
shall be three (3) c�asses of building sewer permits: (1) for residential service,
(2) for commercfal service and (3) for industrial service. In each case the owner
or his duly authorized agent or representative shall make application in writing on
a special form furnished by the City for said purposes. The permit application
shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications or other information considered
pertinent in the judgment of the Sugerintendent of Utilities or his duly authorized
representative. The permit and inspection fees shall be as follows:
a) The sum of Ten Do2lars ($10.00) for a residential building sewer permit
b) The sum of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) for a business or commercial
building sewer permit
c) The sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) €or an industrial building sewer
permit.
and all such fees shall be paid to the City Treasurer at the time the application for
such permit is filed.
SECTION II: �ill other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication. _ - � �r
