SESS. , LAWS OF 1;965y PROVIbIN�. FOR CERT�FICATION OF Se�ID PROPOSITIpN AND PRESCRIBING THE BALLOT TITLE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MI�YQR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLi.OWS: Section l: That there b� submitted to the qua2ified electors (vofiers) of, The City of Renton at a special municipal elec.tion, hereby called to be held in the City of Renton on Novewber 2, 1965 €or approval or rejection, a proposition authoriz�ing an annual fluctuation of the "regular property tax. revenue" of The City of Renton to sucr amount as will be pr�duc2d -by continuance of the levy of Z6 mills on taxable property within the City, such levy to be within the 40 mill tax limitation of the Washington State Constitution and in addition to excess levies authori2ed by Art. VI�, Sec.2 of said Con�titution and Chap. 8G.52 RCW, notwithstanding the limitations contained in Se.ctions 2, 3 and 4, Chap. 174, Ex. Sess. , Laws of 1965; Pr.ovided that no Zevy for city pu,rposes be �►ade as to that portion of the County l�ssessor's a,ssessed valuation of taxable real property which exceeds 25'/, of true and fair value, Section 2: There shall be placed on the ballot a statement and- caption of said propos.ition in substantially the folZowing form: "53ia11 the present tax levy of not to exceed 16 mi12s on property within The City of Renton, continue to be made by and for said City notcaithstanding the limitations of Chap. 174, E�traordinary Session, Laws of 1965, and subject to the 40-c�ill limitation of the Constitution of the State of Washington; provided that no levy for city purposes shall be made upon real prope2iy based on an assessed va2uation deter�ined by the County Assessor that exceeds 25% of the true and fair value?
