AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENIUN, �7ASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROP£RT`Y WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL DISTRY�T (R-3) Z�0 BUSINESS
DISTRICT CB-1)
WHEREAS Under Chapter VII, Title IV (Business Regulations) or �rdinance No.1628 '
known as the "Cflde of Geaeral Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended, and the
maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore
been zoned as Residential District (R-3) and
WHEREAS a proper petition for cEtange of zone classification of said prflperty
has been filed with the City Clerk fln or about ATovember 3, 19b5R which peti�ion was
then duly referred to the Flanning Commisaion for investigation, study and public
hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about November 24, 1965, ,
all pursuant to notice of hearing duly publist:ed and posted as provided by law; and
said matter having been duly considered by the Planning Commission, and said rezoning �
being in confarmity with the City's Comprehensive Plans, and a13 parties having been
heard appearing in support thereof or in opposi�'son thereto, P�W THER£sFOR£
$E IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FtENT'ON AS
FOLIAWS:
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby
rezoned to Business District (B-1); the City Engineer and the Planning Director are III
hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, ,
to evidence said rezoning, as follows:
That portion of Gov't Lot 8, in Section 17, Tflwnship 23 Idorth, .
Range 5 East, W.M. King County� Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the west line of sai.d Lot 8�
�aith the southerly margin of the Maple Valley flighway; thence , .
southeasterly along said margin 450' ; thence southwesterly �
at right angles to said margin, 150' ; thence northweaterly
parallei to and 150' distant of said margin, to its intersection
with the west line of said I,ot 8; thence aorth along said west
line to the point of beginning.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall bc�l in full force and effect from and after
its passage� approval and lega2 publi�ation.
