BE IT f}RLIAIN�D BY 'I`EiE N1A.Y�R AND T�E CIfiY COUNCIL OF THE CI1'Y OF REN'I�1N. t�3A3RING- "1'JN AS FOLIQWS: SECTION I: Sections I, II� III, IV, V and VI af Ordinance No. 2072 are hereby anended, respectively� as follows: SECTI{3N I,AS AMENDE�: There is hereby estab2i:shed and created a specia2 revo2ving fund to be knawn as the "Equipmeat Re�ta2 Fuccd" in pursuance of R.C.W. 35.21.088 for the purpose af paying salar%es, wages and ope- rations required for the repair, replacealeat, purchase and operation of equip�ent of every type and nature anc3 for the purchase of equip�en.t, matarials and supplies to be used in tQe admiaistratit�n anc3 operation of said futvd . For the pu�pase af administering said ittad, there are hereby established two classes within said fuad to be desi�nated as f ollows: A. �3perating Cash Account B. Purchase and Acquisitit►et Cash Account And it is further provided that all funds i,n the "OpeL'sti.ctg C�3h AC- count" shail be used for opexating purposes on�y, while all funds in the "Purchase and Acquisition Aceaunt" shall be used f or the a,cquisitian and , purchase o€ equipment of every type and nature as herein seL forth, and for no other purposes, SECTION IZ , AS AMENDED: Any such equigment, m�at�rials aad sapplies a�ay be rented far the use of the variaus o�fic�s and departments af the City I or same may be rented by the Gity to other �overnzue�,tal agencies as pro- � vided by law. All proceeds or payments received from the sale or rental of any such property shall be placed 1TIt0 the appr�opxiate fund and all disbursements for purchases or payment of rental.s fo�c any such praperty � shall likewise be made f rom the appropriate account within sai.d funcl. Fund" sha21 be from the Current, Street, Park, Water and Airport Funds. � ��� S�CTION III � AS Ai41�NDED: T`he Purchasing Agent of the City is hereby , designated as tt►e 4fficiai in ettiarge of administering said fund and to likewise determine the terms of any such rental t�r gnrchase ac�d ta _ eor�pute the charges for rentals to be paxd for the nse of any such property by any department or office, which has not been parchased f or its awn use out of its awn fund. The City's utility accauntar�t sha22 be in charge of keeping �11 records, accounts and books invalving the operation of said fund. SECTION IV, AS AMENDED: There shall be paid monthly into said fund aut of the monies availa ble ta the department using any equipment, materis2s andlor supplies, which have nat been purcl�asec3 #y that departa�ent for its own use and out flf its �t�m fund, reasflnable rental eharges as ¢r�y be ap- proved by the City Council from time to time; there is hereby esta blished a new list of equipment rental �ates which shall become �fEective as of 3aauary l , 1967, which �ist is labeled Exhibit „A"� attached hereta and � cnade a gart hereof as if fu12y set forth herein. A31 u►onies received in said fund ar in any of its accounts shall be retained therein from year to year as long as the City Council desires to do so. Any monies in the future not needed therein may, fron time ta time , be transferred by ac- tion of the Citq Council unto the Ganeral Fund of Lhe C ity. However, in the event that such fund is at any time dissolved or fully li,quida- ted for any reason as detertnined by the Cauncil , then the rema ining assets, after payment nf all outstanding Iiabilities, shall be returned. prorata, to whatever departuze�t of ttte City that had contriDuted to said fund originally and during its existence. SECTION V, AS A��;ENDED: All other ardinances or parts o£ ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, effective as of January l, 1967.
