BE IT ORDAINED HY THE i+7AYaR AI�H7 THE CITY CqUI�IL OF TH,E Ci'IY oF RENTON �S
FOL�,t7.=�S:
SECTION I: There is hereby establ ished and creeted a special func� to be kno�wri i
as the "Camulative Ressrve Fund for Beautification af Public Properties Including Land-
scap�,n� anc3 the Installation and Maintenance af Recreation�l and Qrnamental Project� '
and Facilities in Connection Therewith", and there shall be paid into s�id Fund from
tiate to time amaunts as may he determined by the City Counci2. Said Fund is hereby
cre�ted for the fol3owing specific purposes, to-wit:
a. The landseaping, maintenance thereaf and general improvements,
including in�tall�tion of benches, lights, including general �
ornamentation, sprinkling systems,�pavfng af city proper^ties.
b. The beautification of City entrances including planting strips,
insta2lation of u�3erground uti3.ities in cannection with City
buildings and presperties, and in particctlar the �ivic Center I
sites �red impravements located thereon. I
c. The install�tion �nd maintenance of speeia2 signs and rel.ated
ornament�I sigas and posters pertaireing to City bui�.dings �nd
projects, ineluding but not Iimiting to the City Center complex,
an:d xmprovements located thereon.
�a �ppropri�tion for said Cumulative Reserve Fund may be included annuslly in the

City's bu@get and the monies in said Fund may be allawad to acc�mu2ate from ye8r to
year uatil �he City Council sha21 determine to expend the monies �.n the Fund for anp
ar �11 of the afarementioned spetif ied purpases.

SECTION IIs kll monies in said "Cumulative Reserve Fund far Beautific�tion of
Fublic Praparties inciudzng Landscaping, and tt2e Instal2ation and Maintenance of
Recreational and Ornamental Projects and Facilities in Gonnection T'herewith" may, 4n
arder o� the City Council, be invested in proper securities in the manner pravided by

Iaw and a22 interest thereon shall become a part of said Fnnd. �
SECTIt}1V III: The monies in said Fund sha21 be e�rended $olely far the purpases
hereinabove specif ied and no R10i11@S in said Fund sha13 be expended for any other �urpose
or purposes bther than those specified hereinabove withaut an approving vote by a major-
ity of the electors of the City af Renton as provided by 2aw. Any mo�nies in �aid Fctnd
at the end of any fi.scal year sha21 ndt Iapse nar shall the same be a surplus availab2e or
