BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENZUN AS

SECTIOIV i: Existing section 1A-109 <L) - MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING RULES -
of Title X (TRAFFIC CODE) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of
the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows:
10-1�9 (L) as amended:
No person driving or in charge of aay motor vehicle shall permit it
to stand unattended in any public place �r parking lot without first
stopping the engine, locking the ignition, removing the ignition key
from any such vehicle and keeping such key removed while�, the vehicle
is unatfiended.
Whenever any police officer shall find a motor vehicle standing un-
attended with the ignition key in the vehicle, in violation of this
sub-section, such police officer is authorized to remove such key
from such vehicle and to deliver same to the police officer in
charge at the Police Department offices. The registered owner of
the vehicle found in violation of this section shall be he2d prima
facie respansible f�r any such viold�tion.
' SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in Eull force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication. •
