No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to
ree� as follows:
Section 5-202, as araended - ADMISSIOr1 'T�� OP1 HORSE RACING: On or after the
effective date of this Chapter, there is hereby levied upon and shall be co�lected from
every person engaging in the business of horse racing and making admission charges
therefor to the genera2 public, a basic admission fee or tax for such activity in the
sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year; o�hich fee or tax shall include the
operations of concessions, not to exceed six (6) in number, conducted during the racing
season at and within the confines of such race tracic, and which con�essions are related
to and incidental to the operation of such horse racing business. In addition thereto
there is hereby imposed and l.evied upon every person who pays such an admission charge
within the City Limits of the City of Renton, a tax of four cents C$.04? on each admissi.on
charge. Every person receiving an admission charge upon which an admission tax is levied
under this Chapter shall collect the amount of the tax imposed upon the person paying an
admission charge. Such admission tax sha22 be deemed to be held in trust by the person
required to oollect the same until re�aitted to the City Treasurer as hereinaf ter provided.
The admission tax i.mposed under this Chapter shall be collected at the time the admission
charge is paid. Said admission tax is in addition to all other taxes or license fees im-
posed by Iaw, except that the operations of concessions as hereinabove speci.fied shall be
exempt from the provisions of Chapter 1, Title V (Business itegulations) of the City's
Code entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton".
SECTION II: This Ordinance sha12 be in fuil force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
