WHEREAS under the provisions of R.C.�•:, 35.13.130, as amended, a� petitioh in
writing requesting that certain territory contiguoas to the City I imits of the City of
Renton, as hereinafter more psrticularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton
' was duly presented and filed with the City Clerk on or about r'1p�;24, 1967, and
��?t�'cRE�S prior to the filing and circulation of said petition for annexation,
the petitioning owners had dulq notif ied the City Council of their intention tcs commence
such proceedings as provided by 2ew� as more partiealarly specif ied in R.C.�•J. 35.13.125,
and upon public hearing tihereon, it having been determined and the petftfoning owners
having so agreed to assume the pre.existing bonded indebtedness af the City of RenCon
as sau►e pestseins te the territory petitioned to be snnexed� and
G?HERF�S the City Engineer haa duly �m�t�d and v�rified the aignatures en said
netition for �lnnexation and determ£ned the �+ssessed valuation o£ a21 the properties, the �
same being in excess of 75% ef the ar@a te be annexed* in value, aa previded by lawz '�

best interest of the City, County and other political subdivisions affected thF:reby
and such findings being in writing dated May 25, 1967t and all &ueb� proceedings
be ing in f ul l compl iance with R,C.W� 35,13_.173 t end
i�7HEREAS the City Council fixed June 26. 1967. at the City Council Chambers I,
in the Citq Hall as the time and plaee fer pi�blie hearing upon said pe.tition, notice ',

t?I�EREAS pursuant to said notice, a public hearing has been held at the time
and place specified in the aforesaid notice and the Council having du2y consic2ered a31
matters in connection with said petition and ittrther determined that all legal require-
ments and procedux'es o£ the 1aw �ppii�able� td the petiti�on methati for �t�n�xation as
speci5sd in R.C.t�J. 35.1�.130 et seq t�ave been duly complied with, NUW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDA INED BY THE NIAYOR A ND THE C ITY COUNC IL � THE C T�''Y OF RENTON AS

SDCTION Z: The eforesaid f�ndittgs, recitals �nd determinations are hereby
t �
found to be true and correct in a12 respeets; all require�nts of the law in regard to
' the annexation by petition method, including the requirements of R.C:JJ. 35.13,I25, 130,
140, 150, 171 and 173, have been fully complied with. It is further determined thet the
abovementioned petition for ennex�ion to the City of Renton of th� property and territory
hereinbelaw described be and the same is hereby approved and grant�d; the followi.ng
described property being confiiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, be and
i the same ia hereby annexed to the City of Renton and such annexation to be effective
on and after the approval, passage and publicetion of this Ordinance; and on and after
said date said property shall. be and cc�xstitute a part of the City of Renton and shall
be subject to all its laws and Ordinances then and thereafter in force and effect; said
property being described as follows:
All that portion of the Northwest One-Quarter of Section 32,
Township 24 Idorth, Range 5 East� W.M. described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the ec�terly margin of I.ake
t�lashington Boulevard with the southerly 1 ine of Tract 88, C. D.
Hillmsns Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division iVo, 2, aceordin�
to the plat recorded in Volume 11, of Plats, page 64, Records of
King County, Llashington; thence northerly along the easterly margin of
Lake Washington BouZevard to the existing City Limits Line
established by City of Renton Ordinance No. 1804; thence sauth
62°59'OS" east along said City Limits line to the westerly cuargin
of F.�.I. 405; thence southerly, easterly and southerly along the
existing City Lixnits established by City of Renton Ordinance No.
1823, to the south 1 ine of Traet 110, of sa id sub-d iv is ion; thence
westerly along said south line and its westerlq extension to the
centerline of 106th Avenue Southeast; thence northerly along said
centerline to the ea�terly extension of the south Iine of Tract
106 of said sub-division; thence westerly alang the south 2ines of
Tract 106 and 88 of said sub-division to the easterly margin of
Lake [�lashington Boulevard and the point of beginning.
Also generally knmwn as portion of "Kennydale Island" area.
and the owners of the aforedescribed property shall assume the pre-existing bonded
indebtedness of the Cit of Renton as seme ertains to the ab vede cr'bed ro rt as

set forth in R.C.t7. 35.13.129.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in fu21 force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law. A certified copy of
this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of King County,
State of i�7ashington, and as further provided bp law.
SECTIOTJ III: The abovedescribed annexed property contiguaus to PrQei�tet No.36
of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Frecinct'�I�'�;3�b �f said City.
