WHEREAoS, that estimat� �� �c;��,:�:;��a��:ec� �w� a diagram �� �he
propos�� improv�tnent showir�� rca��::�•��� �i3� �c��€��, t��cts, ;�:a���ls of land �nd
other property which will be specially benefited by each continuous unit of
the proposed improvement, and the estimated amount of the cost and expense `
' thereof to be borne by each lot, tract and parcel of land or other property;
and
WHEREAS, due notice of the hearing upon that Resolution No.
1452 was given in the manner provided by law and the hearing was held by
the City Council on july 17, 1967 , and was continued to August 14, 1967 , �
and all written protests filed with the City Council on or before that date 'I
were duly considered and overruled and all persons appearing at that hearing
and continued hearing were heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after giving due consideration to
the method of payment for the improvement, determined it to be in the best
interest of the City and of the owners of property within the local improvement
district that the entire cost and expense of the improvement be specially �
assessed anci that the improvement as hereinafter described be carried out
and that a local improvement district be created in conr.ection therewith;
NOW, �'H�REFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE 1VIAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE I
CTTY OF RENTON, WASHIIVGTON, as follows; -
Section 1. it is hereby ordered that the improvements
described in Exhibit "A°' attached hereto and by this reference made a part
�aereof be constructed and installed a . I
There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and�
installation of all necessary valves, fittinrs, couplings, connections,
equipment and appurtenances, and th� acquisition of any easements, rights-
of-way and land that may be required; and there shall �e included the per-
formance of such work as may be incidental and necessaay to the foregoing
construction and installation.

The City Counci� may, in its discretion, madi.fy and amend the
details of the foregoing described improvement, includi�lg t;zc financing
thereof, where in its judgment it appears advisable, provided such modifica-
tions and amendments do not substantially alter the c{eneral plan of said improve-
ment. All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Renton.
Sectipn 2. Thsrs �s hereby created and established a local
improvement district to be caTled "Local Improvement District No. 256, '°
which District is described in Exhibit °'B" attached hereto and by this reference
made a part hereof,
Section 3. The total estimated cost of each continuous unit
o� the improvement is hereby declared to be as fol�ows: .
Unit No. 1 $ 36, 781 .80
Unit No. 2 $303, 322.58
The entire cost and expense of the improvement shall be borne
by and assessed against th� praperty specially benefited by such improve-
ment fncluded in the local improvement district established embracing as near
as may be all property specially benefited by such improvement. There shall be
included in the cost and expense of such improvement all cost items specified
in RCW 35 .44.020. The asaessment rates shall be computed on the basis o�
the cost and expense of each continuous unit of said improvement as above
described. • .

such that the special benefits conferred upon the property in the local improve-

Secxion � . Loaal �mprovement district warrants shall be
issued in payment�of the cost a�d expense of the improvement herein
ordered, such warr$nts to �e�payable out of the "Local Improvement Fund,
District No. 256, " hereina�ter areated, to bear interest from the date .
thereof at a rate to be hereafter fixed by ordinance not to exceed 6% per '
annum and to bs redeemed !� �ash, and/or by local improvement district '

hereafter referred to as "revenue warrants,. " Such bonds shall bear interest
at a rate to be hereafter fixed by ord�nance not to exceed 6% per annum, shall
be payable on or before twelve ( 12) years from the date of issuance, the life
of the improvement ordered b�ing not less than twelve ( 12) years, and shall

be issued in exchange for and ir� redemption of any and all revenue warrants
issued hereunder and not �ede�med in cash within a period not to exceed 60
days after the first pub�ic�tian by the City Treasurer of notice that the assess-
ment roll for "Local Improvement District No. 256" is in her hands �or ' �
collectiona The bonds shall be redeemed by the collection of special.
assessments to be Tevied and asse�sed upon the property within the District,
p�yable in ten ( 10) equal annual �nstallments, with interest at a rate to be
hereafter fixed by ordinance not exceeding 6% per annum, under the moc�e of

Renton. In the case of default in the payment of any assessment when ihe

Improvement Fund, District No. �56," into which fund shall be deposited
the proceeds from the sa3� of reve�u� warrants drawn against that fund
which may be issued and sold by �he �ity, and collections pertaining to
assess�ents, and against wl�ich �und shall b� issu�d cash warrants to the
contractor or cont��ctcars 'in p�yipent for the work to be done by them in
connection w�th the improveiqenfi, and against which fand cash vvarrants
