SECTION I: The "Unifdrm Mechanical Code" (Uniforn► Building Code Volairie II)
1967 Edition as issued by the International ��ssociation of Plttmbing and Mechanical
Officials and International Conference of 'Building dfficfals, of which not less than
three copies in printed form have heretofor� b�en f iled in the off ice of the= City
Clerk and �ade ava ilable for examination by the publ ie, fs hereby adopted as-.the
"UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE' (UNIFORM Bt�ILD1NG COD� VOLthNE II) 1967 EDITION' fo'r ttie
City of Renton, which Code may hereafter be designated as "CIZY OF RENTON UNIFORM
MECHANICAL CODE", 1967 EDITION"; and aay and all amendments, additions or modificatiqns
thereto wh�n printed and filed with the Ci-ty Gl�rk of the Citq of Renton by auth�riza..tio*±
of the City Council from time to time sha11 be consider-�d and accepted and constitute a �
part of such Code without the necessity of further ad�option of such ameridmerifs, modi- .
fications or sdditions by the legislative authorit�r af the City of Renton or by
Ord ina ace.
SECTION II: By the reference thereto made hereinabove, said "UNfFORM..NlEGHANIGAL
C��, 1967 EDITION", together with any and aIl amendments; modif icat�ions or a.dilitions
thereto hereafter printed and f iled with the City Clerk as hereinabove specif ied, are
inCorporated in and made a_ part of tt�is Ordiriartce as fully and wifh t€ie same ef€e�ct- a�s
if se�t �out herein in full; or as if adopted by subsequent Ordiriances amendatory hereof:
SECTION III: Tliis Ordinance shall not be const.rued fo relieve from or lessen I
the �esponsibi2ity of anq person owning,s buiTding.; a2tering, constructing or �moving
any building or structure as def ined in the aforesaid Cade; nor st�alT the Gify oE
Rentpn or any of its agents thereof be held a-s assum�ing such Tiability by reason_of
inapection a'uthorized herein or a �ertific'ate of Occup�ncy issued- by ttie'City ar any
of its agents.

SECTION IV: Any and al l ord inance s or pa rt�s of ord inance s in conf i ict herew:t��
are hereby repealed, iricluding Section 4-304 of Chapter i, Title IV, re permit fees,
and alI of Chapters 6 and 13 of said Title IV of Ordinance No. 1628.
SECTION V: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and aftc:-
its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by, lao�.
