Conference of Building Officials, of which not Iess thaa three (3) printed copies in
book form have heretofore been field in the office of the City Clerk and made avai2�'�le
for examination by the public, is hereb;� adopted as the �•UI3IFORM BUILDING CODE, VOL'.T"�'
i, 1967 EDITION (SECOIdD PRINTING)'' as aforedescribed, which Code may be hereafter
designated as `�CIfiY OF RENTON UiJIFORM BUILDiNG CODE, 1967 EDITION", PROVIDED HOWEVER;
that Table No: 3-F� entiCled "Building Permit Fees'' page No. 31, be and the same is
hereby deleted fmm said Edition. In lieu thereof, �here is hereby established and
adopted the follo�aing section for Building permit Fees, ta-wit:
BUILDINIG PERMIT FEES: A fee for each buildfng permit shall be paid to the
Building Official as set forth in the be2oia specified Table. The determination of
value or valuations under any of the provisions of this Code shall be made by the
Building Official.
Where work for which a permit is required by this Code is started or groce�ded
with prior to obtaining said permit. the fees above specified shall be doubled, but t�:e
payment of such double fees shall not relieve any persoa or persoas from fully
complyfag with the requirementsof this Code in the axe�e�tiott of the work nor from ��y
other penalties described herein. When the valuation of the proposed construction
' exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,OOO.QO) , and a plan is required to be submitted by
the applicable provision of this Code, a plan-checking fee shall be paid to the bu;Idi�g

official at the time of submitting plans and specifications for checking. Said plan-
checking fee shall be equal to thirty per ceat (30�) of the building permit fee as
set forth ia the following described 2able entitYed T�=ble No. 3-A, which fees are
hereby adopted as follows:

with the City Clerk of the City by �Choriaation of the City Council from time to time
shall be considered and accepted and constitute a part of such Code caithout the necessit�►

of further adoption of such amendments, modifications or additions by the Legislative �
authority of Che City or by Ordinance.
SECTION II: Any and all other Ordfnances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herecaith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legaZ publicatfon as provided by law.
