ORI)INATVCE N0, ---�Z�f� � � -� ,.. - ArI ORDINANCE OF �THE CITY OF RENTON, ft�AS��'�1�j A�11� CERTAIN T'ERR�TORY TQ THE CI1'Y QF RENTON� 47HEREAS under the provisions of RCt�J 35.13.130, as amended, a petition in writing requesting that certain territory contiguous to the City of Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton, was daly presented and � f iled with the City Clerk on or about April 4, 1968; and WHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said petition for annexatian the Petitioning owners had duly notif ied the City Council. of their intention to commencn such proceedings as provided by law, Bnd as nore garticul.arly speci.fied in RCGJ 33.13.125, anc3 upon public heari.ng thereon, it having been determined and the petitioning vwners l�ving so agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtedness o€ the City of Renton as saQe pertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed; and to aceept th�t portion of the City's Comprehensive Plan as same pertains to the subject territory; and WHERF�S the City Engineer has duly examined and verif ied the signatures on said petition for anaexation and determined the assessed valuation of all the propdrties, the same being in excess of 75% af the area to be annexed, in value, as provided by 2aw; said petition a2so sets forth the legal description of the property according to government legal subdivision or plat, and the Planning Commission of the City of Renton haviag duly considered and recommended the annexing of said property to the City; and WHEREAS a proper "Notice o€ Intention" having been duly f iled with the Bottndary Review Board as required by Chapter I89, 196'7 Session Laws, by said petitioner�, and said BoundBry Review Board having determined and elected not to invoke its juris- diction, as providad by law, and more than sixty (60) 8ays having lapsed subsequent to such f iI ing, and GIHEREAS the City Council fixed May 20, 7.968, at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall es the time and place for public hearing apon said petition, notice thereof haviteg been duly given as provided by law, and GJHERF.�S pursuant to said notice, a public hearing has been he2d at the time and place speci£ied in the aforesaid notice snd the Council having duly considered all matters in connection with said petition and further determined that all 2eg�1 require- ments and procedures of the lew applicable to the petition method for annexation as specified in RCt�� 35,13.13� et seq have been duly comp3ied with, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORD�INED BY THE MAYOR A1�ID THE C ITY COUNCIL OP' THE C IZY OF RENTON AS I FOLLa4JS: ' SECTION I: The a£oresaid findings, recitals and determinations are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects; all. requirements of the law in regard to the annexation b t' ' y pe ition method� includzng the provisions of RGt,1 35.I3.I25, 130, - 1 - r + � ' � � � , _ « � - �. • 240, 150 �H8 �3l1�pt�� 189i Sest�i;tan Laws of 1967; have been duly complied with. It is further determined that the abovementioned petition f or ennexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory hereinbelow described be and the same is hereby approved and grar►ted; the f ollowing described property being contiguous to the City limits of the City of Renton, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City o� Renton a nd such annexation to be effective on a nd af ter the aQproval, passage and publication of this Ordinaace; and on and after said date said property shall be and constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in €orce and�'fect; said property being described as follows: �il that portion of the Southwest One�Quarter of the Southwest G�e-Quarter of Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, [�7.M. described as follows: The east 394.21 feet of the Southwest One-Quarter of the South- west One-Quarter of Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, t�.M. lying northerly of State Highway No. 900 (Sunset Boulevard East); Together with all that portion of said snb-division lying south- erly c�f the northerly margin of said State Highway No. 900 (Sunset Boulevard East); iess the westerly 757 feet thereof. and the owners of the af oredescribed property sha1l assume the pre-exidting bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as presc�ibed:,in RGW�35.1�;I25 .and=-that the City's Coeiprehensive Plan as applic�ble to the abavedescribed property sha1Z be control2ing. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect f rom and af ter its passage, apgroval and lega2 publication as provided by law. A certif ied copy o£ this Ordinance shall be filed with the 8oard of County Commissioners of King County, State of Washington, as specif ied by law. SECTiON III: The abovedescribed annexed property contiguaus to Precinct No. ,� S� af the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct No. 38 oE sa id City.
