WHEREAS, Kir.g County, Washington, has been authorized by the
>>oters of �Che Cour_ty to issue its General Obligation Bonds in the
�principal amount of not to exceed $118 , 000 , 000 in series from time to
time to provide funds to pay the cost of acc{uisition and develepment of
public pa.rk and recreation fa.cilities in the county includinj facilities
wit:�in the city ; and.
WHEREAS, Resoluzion No . 34571 of the Boa-rd of County Commis-
sioners provides that certain pa:k and recreation facilities sha11 be
acauired and/or developed by the several c?ties in the County and
reauires that each such city first enter into an agrzement with �Che
county that the proceeds shal.l be faithfully applied to the purposes
authorized .by such resolution ; and
j�VHEREAS, it is in the best interes�s of the cit.y and the
residents thereof and necessary for the public healthp i:telfare and
' safety that the city accomplish i:he p�-rk and recrearion purpases set
forth in said Resolutior. N� . 34571 tc be performed by the city and tilat

be necessary to comply witli the terms . and conditions of such greemen� ;

Section 1 . Th� city sha11 ent�r in�o an agreement with Kir�g

Section 2 . The appropriate officers and agents of the city
are hereby authorized and directed to do a11 things necessary to
a.c�omplish the development of the parl: and recreation facilities for �
which moneys shall become available pursuant to the agreement authorized
by this ordinance .
Section 3 . The King County Design Commission is hereby
authorized to act for and on behalf of the city to recommend the
selection of inembers of the design team to be employed by the city for
the planning and design of any� struc�ures or surface development. work
to be accomplished by the city with the funds provided from the sale
of bonds issued pursuant to Resolution No . 34571 of King County and
to review the plans and specifications for such structures or work .
The project shall reirnburse the county' s actual cost attributed to
the projec� .
Section 4 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in foxce
five days from and af�ter its passage and approval .

EXHIBIT A
AGREEMENT
In consideration of the .mutual covenants herein, King County�
(hereina£ter called the "County") and the City of � �_,�;�� --
(hereinafter call�d the "City") agree as follows :
1 . The County shall deliver to the City in. the ordinary�
course of business after receipt of the= proceeds. of ea�h se�ies ; of
general obligation bonds. of the County. contemplated to be. issued pur-
suant to Resolution No . 34571 of the County, the full amount
of . cash .allocated to the City out of sucli proceeds by said resolutiono
2 . The C%ty shall hold said inoney in trust and shall faith-
' fully apply . same to the purposes authorized in said Resolution
No . . 34571 in the manner, and subject to the conditions provided
� in said resolution; shall operate and maintain all facilities acquire_d,
const�ucted, developed ;or improved��with said money; - shall defend and
save the County harmless from any� claim of damage re�ulting from the

acauisition, construction, development , improvement , operation,
maintenance , repair, replacement. or public use of such facilities ,
and sha11 _perform or comply with all conditions. of said Resolu�Cion
No . ��5�� contemplated by said resolution to be performed ,or
complied with by agencies to which the' praceeds of .bonds issued pur-
