AN ORpINANCE of the City of ��, i6�'��O �
authorizing the executicn of �a cont�ac�
taith King County providing for receipt
and application of a portion of the proceeds
of certain general oblibation bonds of the
county and designating the Y.ir�g County Design
Commission to serve as the design comnis5ion
of the city for projects acquired or constructed
with said proceeds ,
�tiTHEREAS , King County, Wa�hington, r�as be�n authorized by
the voters of the County to issue its Genei�al Obligation Bonds
in the principal amount of not to exceed $81 , 600 , 000 in series ,
from tirne to time tio provide funds to pay the cost of acquisition
and development of public arterial hzghway facilities within the �
city ; and I
ti'JHEREAS , Resolution No . 34569 of the Board of County Commis-

sioners provides that certain arterial highway facilit�es shall '
be acc�uired and/or developed by the several cities in t::e County I
{
and reauires that each such city first en�er into an a.greement
with the county that the proceeds shall be faithfully appl�.ed �o
the purposes authorized by such resolution; and
WHEREAS, �_t is in the best interests of the city and thn
residents thereof and necessary for the public health, welfare
and safety that the city accomplish the artexial highway pur�oses
set forth in said Resolution Noo 34569 to be performed by the ci�y
and that the city enter into such agreement and take sacl-i other
action as may be necessary to comply wi�h the . terms and con�itior.s
of suc� agreement ;

Section 2 . The appropriate officers and agents of the city
are hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to
accomplish the development of arterial highway facilities for
which moneys shall become, available pursuant to the agreement
authorized by �his ordinance .
Section 3 . The King County Design Commission is hereby
authorized to act for and on behalf of the city to recommend the
selection of inembers of the design team to be employed by the
city for the pla�ning and design of any structures or surface
development work to be accomplished by the city with the funds pro-
vided from the sale of bonds issued pursuant to Resolution No . 34569
of King County and to review the plans and specifications for such
structures or work. The proje�t shall reimburse the county ' s �
actual cost attributed to the projecto
Section 4 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five days from and after its passage and appr. oval .

EXHIBIT _A
AGREEMENT
In consideration of the mutt�al covenants herein, King County
(hereinaft.er called the . "County") and the City of �
(hereinaft.er called the "City") agree as follows : �
le The County shall deliver to the City in . the ordinary
course of business after , receipt of the proceeds of each series of
general o�ligation bonds of the County �ontemplated to be 155U@C�
pursuant to Resolution Noo 34569 of the County:
2 . The . City sha11 apply . said money to the , purposes authorized
in sa3d ,Resolution No . 34569 and Resolution No , 35555 in the ,manner
and subject to the. conditions provided in said resolutions ;, shall
operate and mainta�n all facilities acquired, constructed, d�veloped
or improved with said money; shall defend and save the County harmless
from any claim of damage 'resulting from the acquisition; construction, .-
development, improvement , operation, maintenance , repair , replacement
or public ,use of such facilities ; and shall perform or comply with a11
conditions .of said ReSolution Nos 34569 and Resolution Noo .35555
contemplated b'y said resolutions to be performed or complied with by
agencies to which the proceeds of bonds . issued pursuant to such
resolutions ..have :been allocated and delivered.
