AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASINGTON,
GRANTING UNTO CLEARVIEf�i '�:;�1��`s���;.`�NC. ?_ `.��. ,
A WASHINGTON CORPORATION AN E�TENSION OF A CERTAIN
PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT , OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A COAXIAL
CABLF SUBSCRIBER SYSTEM FOR TV SIGNAL DISTRIBUTION
OVER AND ACROSS CERTAIN DESIGNATED CITY STREETS
AND SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS .
WHEREAS City of Renton heretofore granted as per Ordinance
I�To. 2197 , a certain permit �ch was duly amended by Ordinance No. 2264
and the City having heretofore given its consent to the transfer and
�ssignment of said permit from the original ��anfee unto CLEARVIEW �?.;V:�I�
CABI;�, INC. , a Washington Corporation, and
WHEREAS said permit is ex�iring by its terms and conditions on
February l, 1969 and Grantee has requested an extension and renewal
including certain additional territory as hereinafter more particularly
set forth, and
WHEREAS the City is willing to grant such a renewal subject to
the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT �DAINED BY TH� MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
�ENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The City of Renton hereby gives and grants � unto
Clearview T��V::�:�A�I�E, INC. , a Washington Corporation, an extension and
renewal of that certain permit specified in City of Renton Ordinance No .
2197 dated December 6 , 1965 as modified by Ordinance No. 2264 dated
August 15 , 1966 , for a further period of'�'�i�e years commencing as of
February l, 1969 and terminating in all events on the last day of January,
19� Said permit shall cover and pertain to the streets and territory
hereinafter more particularly described on Exhibit "A" which is attached
hereto and made a part h�r�o€.
SECTION II : Grantee shall pay unto the City of Renton a
permit fee in the sum of $ 250 . 00 per annum, payable in advance each
year to the office of the City Treasurer,, or 4/ of the gross revenue
.r-�ceived by the Grantee from its customers , whichever is greater. Grantor
shall have the right at al1 reasonable times to inspect the books and

, ��r�ec�rds �f the Grantee for th� purpose of ascertaining the actual gross
�re�eipts 'of Grantee and Grantee shal), furnish unto �rantor a certi�ied ,
stat�ment of� such gross receipts. The,aforedescribed payment unto the City
shall, however not be taxed or passed on as a separate item to any
customer of Grantee.
SECTION III : In further consideration of City granting this �
extension, Grantee agrees and covenants to comply strictly with all the terms
and conditions of Ordinance No. 2432 , also known as Chapter 18 , Title IV
(Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of City of Renton" and any and all ordinances or regulations
hereafter passed regulating or pertaining to the undergrounding or
conversion of overhead wires , telephone , telegraph, cable,- televion and
electrical power.
SE"CTION IV: All other provisions, terms and conditions of
Ordinance No. 2197 , as amended by Ordinance No . 2264 , unless expressly
modified or amended hereafter, shall remain in full force and effect and
same are hereby all adopted and incor�orated herein as if fully set forth.
