� AN 0'aZDINANCE OF THE CITY (�F REIdTO�N� WASHING'1'�N, ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRI'ICb�Y T0 THE CITY OF P.ENTL�N.
WHEREAS under the provisions of RCW 35.13.130, as amended, a petition in
, writing requesting that certain territory contiguous to the City of Renton� as I
hereinaf ter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton, was duly
presented and filed with the City Clerk on or about N.o.vember. 22, 1968 and I
WHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said petition for annexatifln
the Petitioning owners had duly notified the City Councit of their intention t� commence
such proceedings as provided by law, and as more particularly specified in RCW 35.13.125
and upon public hearing thereon, it having been determined and the petitioning owners
having so agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton
as sane pertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed; and to accept that portion
of the City's ComQrehensive Plan as same pertains to the subject territory; and
WHEREAS the City Engineer has duly examit►ed aad veri£ied the signatures
on said petition f�r annexation and determined the assessed va2uation of all the
, properties, the same being in ex�ess of 75% of the area t� be annexed� in value� as
Qrovided by law; said petition also sets forth the legal description of the property
accor in to overnment le al subdivision or lat and the Plannin Commission of the
d g g g P � g
City of Rent�n haviag duly considered and recommen@ed the annexing o€ said property I,
to the City; and II
67HERFAS a proper "Notice of Intentioa" having been duly giled with the
B�undary 2eview Board as required by Chapter 189, 1967 Session Laws, by said
petitioners, and said Boundary t2eview Board having determined and elec:ted not to
invoke its jurisdiction as provided by law and more than 60 days having
elapsed subsequent to .such filing; and
WHEREAS the City Council fixed March. 24, 1969 at the City Council
Chambers in the City Hall as the time and place far public hearing upon said
petition, notice thereof having been duly given as provided by law, and
WHEREAS pursnant to said notice, a public hearing has been held at the
time and place specified in the aforesai.d notice and the Council having duly considered
all matters in connection with said petition and further determined that all legal.�
requirements and procedures of the law applicable to the petition method for
annexation as specified in ltCW 35.13.I30 et seq have been duly complied with, NOW
Z'HEREFORE
BE IT 638DAII�IED BY THE MAY6t2 AND THE CITX CQUNCIL OF T� CITY O�F RENTON

SECTION F: The af oresaid f indings� recitals and determinations are herebv

found to be true and correct in all respects; all requirements �f the law in regard
to the anaexation by petition method, including the provisions of RCW 35.13.125, 130�
140, 150 and Ghapter 189, Sesaion Laws of i967, have been duly complied with. It is
further determined that the abovementioned petition for annexation to the City of
' Renton of the property and territ�ry hereinbelow described be and the same is hereby
approved and granted; the following described property being contiguous to the City
2imits oE the City of Renton, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of
Renton and such annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage and
publication of this 'urdinance; and on and after said date said property shall be
and cottstitute a part of the City of �enton 3nd shall be subject to all its laws and
ordinances then and thereafter in force and effect; said property being described as
follows:
That portion of t.he northwest quarter of the southwest _quar.ter
of Section 3 , Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M. , King County,
Washington, lying North of the north boundary of the P7..at of
Glencoe as recorded in Vo.lume 84 of Plats, pages -87 and 88 , Records
of King County, Washington, TO,GETHER WITH the southwest quarter of
the northwest :quarter of S.ection 3 , Township 23 No.rth, Range 5 East
W�Y, King County, Washington, EXCEPT the north one-half of the north
; one-half of the north o.ne-half of the southwest .quarter of the
northwest quarter of said Section 3 . Containing 42 .4 acres more or less.
(Located in the .gener..al. v.icinity. of 1.32nd Ave. SeE. and S .E. 104th St..)
and the �wners of the aforedescribed property shall assume the pre-existittg bonded
indebtedness of the City of Renton as prescribed in RCW 35.13.125 and that the City's
' Comprehensive Plan as" applicable to the abovedescribed property shall be controllingo
3ECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law. A certified oopy of
this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of King Courity;
State of �rJashington� as specified by law.
SECTI�IV III: The abovedescribed annexed property contiguous to Precinct
No. 38 of the City of Renfion shall be and constitute a part -af Frecinct No. 38 �f -
said vity.
