' AN ORDINANCE QF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE A CERTAIN "REVISION OF
THE FIRE PREVENTION .CODE , 1965 EDITI.ON" RE
SERVICE STATIONS (FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBI,E
LIQUIDS) . � ..
WHEREAS the City of Renton heretofore adopted and passed
Ordinance No.�a,5�;� under date of July 25 , 1966 , adopting and
� establishing by reference a Fire Prevention Code , namely, 1965
Edition, describing regulations and governing conditions hazardous
to life and property from fire and/or explosion, and
WHEREAS not less than three ( 3) printed copies of a
� dated Oc
"Revision of the Fire Prevention Code, 1965 Edition" as issued/and 1�66 ,
recommended by the American Insurance Association, successor to the
National Board of Fire Underwriters , have heretofore been filed in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Renton for use and
examination by the public , and it is deemed advisable and in the
public interest to adopt said Code by reference as provided by law,
NOW THEREFORE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
�ECTION I : There is hereby ado.pt�d that certain "Revision
of the Fire Prevention Code , 1965 Edition" (Division VI , Service
October 1966
Stations of Article 16 , Flammable and Combustible Liquidsy as issued
and recommended by the Aznerican Insurance Association, successor to
the National Board af Fire Underwriters, of which not less than
three ( 3) printed copies have heretofore been filed in the office of
the City Clerk and made available for examination by the public.
SECTION II : Any and all ordinances , or parts of ordinances ,
in conflict herewith, or inconsistent with the provision of the above
revision, are hereby r.�pealed and super.seded.
SECTION III : Should any Section, paragraph, sentence or word
of this Ordinance or of the Code heretofore adopted be declared for
any reason to be in�alid , such invalidity shall not affect any other
parts or provisions of this Ordinance or of the Code hereby adopted.

SECTION .IV: Any and all provisions for penalties hereto-
fore imposed by Ordinance No. ��.�� , passed and adopted under date
, '
of July 25 , 1966 , for any violation and non-compliance , shall likewise
apply to the provisians of the "Revision of. the Fire Prevention Code ,
1965 Edition" hereby adopted.
SECTTON V: This Ordinance shall be in ��.ii force and effect
from and after its ap�r.oval, passage and legal publication.
