ORDINANCE NO'. 2535
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
PROVIDING FOR SUBROGATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS
FOR FLOOD .CONTROL AND RELA'I'ED PURPOSES
WHEREAS the City. of Renton heretofore passed and approved its
Resolution No. 144.3 in connection with the Greeri River Watershed
Project of which the City. of Renton is one of the sponsoring
organizations , and
WHEREAS said Resolution also authorized KING COUNTY as its
representati.ve :to act as a contracting agerit with other governmental
authorities , including the SOIL CONSER�ATION SERVICE OF THE UNITED
STATES , and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works , King County, State of
Washington, has now req.uested the City of Reriton that .certa�:n easements
in connection with said Gr.eeri Ri.ver Watershed Project be in the name
of the contr-acting agency, namely, the .Department of Public Works ,
King County, NOW THEREFORE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REN.TON AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The City of Renton, a municipal corporation under
the laws and statutes of the State of Washington, hereby subrogates
in favor of the Department of Public Works , King County, State of
Washington, in connection with the heretofore described project all
of its easements and rights thereunder for right of way for flood
control dam as granted by the State Department of Natural Resources
on September 13 , 1961 , under Application No. 26355'- , together with
a portion of described as shown on exhibit "A" attached
/an easement for right of way purposes for storm sewer/ over the bed of
the old Black River channel granted by the .State Department of
Natural Resources on November 14 , 1962 , under Application No. 27583 ,
which grant and subrogation in f.avor of the Departmerit of Public Works ,
King County, State of Washington, is made for the purpose of having
said agency act as contracting party with the federal agency funding
all or a portion of said Green River Watershed Project.
