ORDINANCE NO. -2 5'73
AN ORDINANGE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORD�INANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
SALARIES OF ELECTIVE AND APPOINTIVE OFFICERS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: ;
SECTION I: Existing Section 1-1101 - Salaries of Elective
Officers - of Title 1 (Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled �
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 1-1101, as amended - SALARIES OF ELECTIVE
OFFICERS; The elective off icials designated herein shall receive
the annual salaries indicated:
a. The Mayor, City Clerk and City Treasurer of the City
of Renton shall receive an annual salary as fixed by Ordinance from
time to time.�
b. Each Councilman shall receive an annual salary of
$3600 or as otherwise =:.-f;ixe-d.,�.4 by Ordinance as provided by law.
All salaries as hereinabove specified shall be paid in equal semi-
monthly installments , unless provision is made to the contrary by
the City Council or as otherwise provided by law.
SECTION II : Existing Section 1-1102 - Salaries of Appointive
Officers - of Title 1 (Administrative) of Ordinance No . 1628 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1-1102 , as amended: - SALARIES OF APPOINTIVE
OFFICERS - The following appointive officers shall receive such ,salaries
as are f ixed and established by the Ordinances of the City of Renton
from time to time and said salaries shall likewise be paid in equal
semimonthly installments unless provision is made to the contrary II
by the City Council or as otherwise provided by law.

The appointive officers shall consist of the following,
to-wit: Deputy City Clerk, Assistant Treasurer, City Attorney,
Assistant City Attorney, Street Director, Purchasing Director,
Planning Director, Health Officer, City Engineer, Chief of Police,
Chief of the Fire Department, Director of Utilities , Traffic Engineer,
Building Director, Park Director.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after
November 30 , 1970 and after its passage, a�proval and legal publi-
cation.
