ORDINANCE N0. a2���
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
]�ECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRIATING
MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE
HIRING OF YOUNG PEOPLE FOR SUMMER WORK
WHEREAS since the adoption of the 1970 Annual Budget of the
City of Renton it has become necessary to provide for the appropriation
and expenditure of certain funds as hereinafter set forth, and such
expenditures being necessary and required and which could not have
been reasonably foreseen at the time of making the annual budget
for the City of Renton, and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration,
operation and maintenance of the City to appropriate funds for the f
hiring of young people for summer work, and such appropriation being
proper and in the publicinterest and for the public benefit, NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby
fou�.d arid determined by the City Council of the City of Renton to
be true and existing and by reason thereof the Council hereby dec7�res
that an emergency exists which could not have been reasonably foreseen
at the time of making of the 1970 budget, requiring the appropriation
of funds for the hiring of young people for summer work. �
SECTION II : That there be and is hereby allowed and
established the following sums for expenditure in the following
classifications and said sums are appropriated as herein set forth, �
to-wit :
UNTO : Non-Departmental Budget #1141 , Acct # 120 - $4�800.00 .
201 - 200.00
SECTION III : This Ordinance is an Emergency Ordinance
which shall not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after

its introduction, and a copy thereo� shall be published and posted
as a proposed O�dinance with notice of the time set ,for voting thereon.
SECTION IV : This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.

of July , 1970 .
