AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
PROVIDING FOR CERTIFICATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICERS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE "WASHINGTON LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND FIRE FIGHTERS RETIRE-
MENT SYSTEM" AS PROVIDED IN RCW 41. 26 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The term "law enforeement officer" and "city
police officer" shall include and pertain to such regular, full
time personnel of the City of Renton Police Department who have
heretofore and who are hereafter appointed to the off ices, positions
or ranks of the City of Renton Police Department consisting of the
f ollcwing:
Chief of Police
Assistant Chief
Captain S
Lieutenants
Sergeants
Patrolmen
SECTION .II: . The Chief of Police, City Clerk, and the Police
Civil Service Commission are hereby authorized and directed to
prepare, certify and forward unto the State of Washington Public
Employees Retirement System, Olympia, Washington, a correct and
up to date list of the names and other personal data as to each
person within the Renton Police Department as above specified;
and such information to be in compliance with the requirements
of RCW 41.26. 030[37 .

SECTION III : This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
