� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1-802 (C)OF TITLE I' (ADMINISTRATIVE)
pF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON`� RELATING TO ACCRUAL
OF VACATION BENEFITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION.:.I : Existing Section 1-802 (C) - VACATIONS - of
Title I (Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinance of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as
follows :
Section 1-802(C) AS AMENDED: The vacation credits herein-
above set forth shall continue to accrue during an employee� temporary
absence from duty by reason of sickness or injury until such time as
said employee is terminated or otherwise leaves the employment with
the City, PROVIDED HOWEVER that no accrual of vacation credits shall
be permitted to any employee who has applied or has been granted retire-
ment for disability under any existing state. pension and/or retirement
act and who is on disability leave for a period of 6 months or more and
is receiving his monthly salary during such 6 month period; in the event,
however, that such employee is returned to full active duty status with
and
the City prior to the expiration of such 6 months period/prior to final
dis�ality retirement and there a_fter continues to perform his regular
duties , then va�ation credits shall accrue to his benefit during such
temporary period of disability . I
SECTION II : This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
