THE CITY COUNCIL "OE THE CITY OF RENTON .DO ORDAIN AS .FOLUOWS :
SECTION '.Ie There is her.eby added a new section, •.to be enta.t].ed
Section 1=2208. of Title I (Administra.tive): of. Ordinance No. 1.628
e�titled "Code of General Ordinances of. the City of Renton'� to read
as fo7.lows :
New :Se'cti.on 1:-2208-PAYMENT OF FINES BY INS:'Z`ALLI`'LE"NfiS :' ENFORCE-
'�'HEREOF. Whenever a def.eridant in the Muriicipal Cou.rt of. the .City
of Renton has beeri convicted of any of.fense, a judgment tha�t s_uch
defendant pay a fine may also direct that such fine be paid wi�ha.n a ,
l.imited time or in installmerits on certain specified. dates ar�d that
i.n. default of paymerit as stipulated in sucYi judgmerit, such defendant �
shall thereupon be jailed until .the fine as originally imposed by th.e
, Court�s judgment or -the then. remaining balance of. the fine has been
satisfi.ed in full. However unless such direction and .sti ul.ation
P
are provided for in th.e .judgment, all fines shall be .payabTe forth.
with upon eritry of such judgmerit.
Any judgmerit issued by the Muriicipal Court providi�g '
fox the payment of a fine. �on the installment. basis shall be in writing
and a copy ther:eof. shall be furnished unto. th.e .def:endant who shal�. �,
acknow,ledge receipt thereof on the original which shall .be reta:ined I
by the Court. It is furth.er expressly provided, how.ever,. that any
, defendant who has duly posted an appeal or similar bo:nd sha11 xemai,n
free periding further disposition of his case as p.r.ovided by law.
