AN ORDINANCE QF THE CITY OF RENTQN, WASHINGTQN,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION pF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM PUBLIC
USE DISTRICT (F-1) TQ BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
� WHEREAS under Chapter VII , Title IV (Buil.ding Regulatians} I
�� of Ordinance No. 1628 knawn as the "Code af General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" , as amended, and the maps and reports adopted
in conjunction therewi�h , the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zaned as p�blic Use District �P-i} ; and
WHEREAS a proper petitian far change of zone classification
of said property has been filed with the Ci�y Clerk on or abaut
June 7 , 1872 , whieh petition was duly referred to the Planning
Commission for investigatian, study and public hearing , and a public
hearing having been held thereon on or about June 28, 1972 , and
said matter having been duly considered by �he Planning Commission
and said zoning reques� being in confarmi�y with the City' s Comprehensive
Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly c�nsidered all
matters relevant thereto, and a21 parties having been hearci appsaring
in suppart thereof or in opposition therefio ,
NQW THEREFORE ,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:.
SECTSON I : The fallowing described praperty in the City of
, Renton is hereby rezaned to ���iness District {B-1}
as hereinbelow specified; the City Engineer and the Planni.ng Director
are hereby authorized and directed to change �he maps of the Zaning
Ordi.nctnce , as amended, to evidence said rezaning , ta-wit :
Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6�and ? Block 2, Wefancs addition to the City I
of Renton, Records of King County, Washington. �
TOGETHER with that partion of the unplatted 25 foot wide strip of Government
Lot 16 in Section 18, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. ; �djoining
lying between �h� South line of said Block 2 and the North line of the
�lington Northern (�acifiC Coast Railroad) right-af-way Easterly
�. -pf "Rainier Avenue South and Westerly of Shattuck Avenue Sauth;
LESS that partion Westerly of the Southerly extension of the Easterly
