AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PRO�ERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL
SUBURBAN CGS-1) TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (R-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII , Title IV CBuilding Regulations)
of Ordinance No. 1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" , as amended , and the maps and reports adopted
in conjunction therewith , the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as General Suburban District (GS-1) ; and
WHEREAS a proper_ petition for change of zone classi�ication
of said property has been filed with the City Clerk on or about
September 6 , 1972 , which petition was duly referred t� the Planning
Commission for investigation, study and public hearing , and a p�ablic
hearing having been held thereon on or about September 27 , 1972 , and
i said matter having been duly considered by the Planning Commission I
and said zoning request being in conformity with the .City' s Compre�ensive
Plan, as amended , and the City Council having duly cflnsidered all
rnatters relevant thereto , and all parties having been hearci appearing
in support thereof or in opposition thereto , _
NOW THEREFORE ,
BE i.T ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTODI, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following describ.ed property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to Single Family Residential (R-1)
as hereinbelow specified; the City Engineer and the Planning Director
are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of th� Zoning
Ordinance , as amended , to evidence said rezoning,, to-wit :
The West 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the
Southwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9 , Township 23
North, Range 5 East W.M. except roaclsalso Lots 6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10 of
Mapes First Addition as per Plat recorded in Volume 60 of plats ,
p3be 7 , records oi King County , situated in the City of Rezton ,
King County , S-tate of Wash�ngton (located at NE loth- st.�--Between
M-onroe _Ave. ,N=:f•E., _and _.O_�ympia Ave. N. E. ) -
