AN .ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHZNGTON
AMENDING SECTION 1�301 OF '�I�'LE I, (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENT.ITLED "CODE OF GENE.RAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENT.ON" RELATING TO
PENALTIES.

THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDA N AS FOLLOW
Section I : �xisting Section 1�301 of T.itle I(Administr.ative)
af Qrdinance No . 1628. entitled '�Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton" is hereby amerided to read as follows :
Section 1-301 - GENERAL PENALTY: Any person convicted
of a misdemeanor or a violation of any se.ction of. this Code, or as
same may hereafter be amerided, unless a different penalty is
specifically provided for, shall .be fined any sum not exceeding
$500 for any one offense or confined in the City Jail not more than
six manths or both by .such fine and imprisonment, recoverable with
costs .
On default of any payment or as otherwise provided for
in Secta.on 1:»2208, Defendant shall upon such imprisonment be credited
with the sum of $ 6.00 for each day or fraction thereof while so
canfined or as otherwise determined by the Court. While :so confined
said Defendant may be put to work for the benefit of the City.
Section II: Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
confict here�tith are her.eby repealed.
Sectiori TII : This Ordinance .shall be effective upon its I
passage , approval and five days after its publication, unless other- I
wise prov.ided for hereinabove. '
