WHEREAS the assessment roll levying the special assessment against the property located in Local Improvement District No . 277 generally known as Northeast lOth Street between Sunset Blvd . N.E . and Edmonds Avenue N.E. , Renton, ]�ing County, Washington, created under Ordinance No. 2770 , has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton by the Director of Public .Works ,as provided by law, and WHEREAS due notice of the time and place of hearing thereon and making objections and protests to said roll was duly published i at and for the time and in the manner provided by law, fixing the ti,me and place of hearing thereon for August 27 , 1973 at the hour of 8 : 00 o 'clock P.M. in the City Council Chambers , City Hall , Renton, Washington and notice thereof was duly mailed by the City Clerk� to each ' property owner shown on said roll as provided by law and as further specified � RCW 35 .44 . 090 and said hearing having been duly held as aforesaid, and WHEREAS at the time and place fixed and designated in said notice , said hearing on said assessment roll resulted in the following protests and/or objections as received by the City Clerk prior to, at � and during said hearing, to-wit : I ' -1- . _ . . , , •� , • „ �,., • • • . . , i • ,- � NAME OF' PROTESTING PARTY ADDRESS LEGAL DESCRIPTION No Protests Received and the City Council having duly considered said assessment rollX�,� h��x�$?�#`��'�{��sv-c�,�,.Szsxs�x��x� ��y�i� �he ��x ��x��x��.e C i t y Council sitting and acting as a Board of Equalizatinn for the purpose of considering the roll, benefits to be received by each lot, parcel and tract of land shown upon said roll, including the increase and enhancement of the fair market value of each such parcel of land by reason of saa.d improvement; NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I : That the assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No . 277 which has been created and est�lished for the purpose of pay�g the cost of co'nstructing and installing certain sanitary sewer lines and all appurtenances thereto in that certain area known as Northeast lOth Street between Sunset Blvd . N.E. and Edmonds Avenue N.E . , Renton, King County, Washington, and all as more particularly I descri.bed in Ordinance No . 2770 , further reference hereby had thereto , and all i.n accordance with said Ordinance , be and the same is hereby � in all things approved �and. confirmed so that the total amount of the assessments and assessment roll of said Local Improvement District is in the sum of $22,052.73. -2- � _ . , � , , , . . , i� , ' . �,�� • . . II ,� , SECTION II: That each of the lots , tracts , parcels of land and other property shown upon said assessment roll i.s hereby determined and declared to be specially benefited by said improvement in at least the amount charged against the same , and the assessments appearing against the same are in proportion to the several assessments appearing upo n said roll. There is hereby levied and assessed against each lot, tract or parcel of land, or other property appearing upon said roll, the amount finally charged against the same thereon. SECTION III ; That the assessment roll as approved and confirmed shall be filed with the Director of Finance for collection and said Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice as requi,red by law, stati.ng that said roll is in her hands for collection and that payment of any assessment thereon or any portion of said assessment can be made at any time withi,n thirty days from date of first publication of said notice , without penalty, interest or cost, and that thereafter the sum remaining unpaid, may be paid in ten equal annual installments with interest thereon hereby fixed at the rate of 7 per cent per annum. The first installment of assessment on said assessment roll shall become due and payable during the thirty day period succeeding the date one year after the date of first publication by the Director of Finance of notice that the assessment roll is in her hands for collection and annually thereafter each succeeding installment shall become due and payable in like mariner. If the whole or any portion of the assessment remains unpaid after the first 30 day period, interest upon the whole unpaid sum shall be charged at the rate of 7 per cent per annum and each year thereafter one of said ins-tallments , together with interest due on the whole of the un�d balance, shall be collected . Any installment not paid prior , to expiration of the said 30 day period during which said installment is due and payable sl�al.l thereupon become delinquent . '• �� ► installments shall be subject to a charge of interest at 7 per cent per annum and for an additional charge of 8 per cent penalty levied upon both �rincipal and interest due upon such installment or installments . The collection of such delinquent installments shall be enforced in the manner provided by law. SECTION IV: All of such assessments or installments thereof, and interast and penalty, if any thereon , when collected by the Director of Fi�nce shall be �aid into the Local Improvement .Fund, District No. 277 , of the City of Renton as created by said Ordinance No. 2770 , and shall be used solely for the purpose of paying the principal and interest on the warrants and bonds drawn upon or issued against said Fund, or in case no bonds have been iss,ued , then in payment of any installment note or notes as provided for in RCW 35 . 45 . 150 , as may be determined by the City Council of the City of Renton SECTION V : This Ordinance shall be effective �on its II passage, approval and five days after its publication, unless otherwise � provided for hereinabove .
