ORDINANCE N0 . 2825
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WA�-iINGTON , AMENDING
CHAPTER l .OF TITLE VI (POLICE REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE
N0 . 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
' CITY OP RENTON" RELATING TO ESCAPED PRISONERS .
THE CITY COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existi,ng Section 6-105 of Title VI (Police
Regulati.ons) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 6-105 , as amended - CRIME OF ESCAPE- RESCUING
PRISONERS . A. Every person who shall, by force or fraud, rescue fro m I�
local custody, or from an officer or person having ha.m in lawful
custody , a pris.oner held upon a charge , arrest, commitment, conviction
or sentence for a felony, shall be guilty of a felony; and every
person who shall rescue a prisoner held upQn a charge, arrest ,
commitment, conviction or sentence for a gross misdemeanor or mis-
demeanor, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
B. Every person confined to the City of Renton Jail or similar
place of custody , or being in lawful custody of an officer or other I
person� who escapes or attempts to escape from such City Jail or I
lawful custody if such person is being held on a charge , �onviction �I
or sentence for violation of any criminal statute including -ts�.ffic ,
violation, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
C. Every person who shall conceal or harbor for the purpose
of concealment, any prisoner who has escaped or is escaping from the
City Jail or from the lawful custody of an officer as hereinabove
specified, shall be guilty , upon conviction, of a misdemeanor.

SECTION II : This Ordi.nance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its �ublication, unless otherwise
Qrovided for hereinabove.
